ABSTRACT

The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the people’s satisfaction towards the Dhamma practice Practice on the weekend 2) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions of people who attend the Dhamma practice on the weekend. The samples involved in this case study were 302 people who attend Dhamma practice practice at the temple. These samples were asked to complete questionnaires which was the method of collecting data. Then the data analysis was performed by statistical software packages, in order to find the frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation

The findings of this study are concluded as followed:

              1. The overall satisfaction of Dhamma practice attendees at Wat Klang Bang Phra Nakhonchaisri District, Nakhon Pathom Province is at high level. Having considered in each aspects namely; Academic, Human resource, Public Relation, Welfare, Places and reception, the aspects of Human resource, Welfare and place were at outstandingly high level. For Academic, Public relation and reception aspects, they were rated at high level.

           2. The problems obstacles and suggestions of those who joined meditation session at the temple are as followed: 1) Attendee’s lack of interest and understanding the benefit of practicing mediation. 2) Un-satisfactoriness regarding the place’s atmosphere, location and mediation teachers and 3) Inadequacy of advertisement. 4) lack of understanding the difference between the Samatha and Vipassana (concentration & meditation). For recommendation, the meditation teacher should ideally know the meditation background of their students so they can advise the most appropriate practicing technique. Lastly, the temple should ask for cooperation from the tourist company for arranging any possible visit.
